Why your coffee is so different?

Our coffees are 100% arabica. These are coffees categorized as non-commercial (eng. specialty coffee). Specialty coffee industry pretty much differs from commercial coffee industry.
Processing coffee, from harvesting coffee cherries to drying green beans and further roasting them, in this industry is regulated and defined by particular standards. It, certainly, has an effect on the final product which is a cup of coffee. Even the amateurs can feel the difference between the cup of specialty coffee and the taste of regular (commerical) coffee in cafés.

How can I prepare your coffee?

All our coffees are in beans and can be prepared in different ways - turkish coffee, moka, espresso, filter and similar. Grinding granulation will be different.

Which coffee I can taste in your shop?

You can taste different coffees coming from Africa and Central and South America, from small farms. Coffee is a seasonal fruit and it grows seasonly. Not all sorts of coffee are available trhoughout the year.
In our coffee shop you can always taste blends or single origin espresso, while coffee with milk is prepared with cow milk or alternatives (soy and almond milk).

What do you mean by blend and single origin coffee?

„Single origin” is essentially as it sounds – it means that the beans come from one place, usually from a certain region or country or specific farm, and a “coffee blend” combines coffee beans from several origins, as this will give consumers the best of a few different beans which will make the coffee more complex.

Why do you write notes on the bag of coffee and what does it mean?

High quality arabica coffee should have a slightly sweet flavor, with hints of chocolate, nuts, and caramel. You may also notice hints for fruit and berries. There will be a slight/pleasant acidity, and a little bitterness.
Coffee coming from Brasil, for example, usually tastes like chocolate, nuts and caramel while coffee coming from Eastern Africa has high acidity and it tastes like fruits.
However, the notes that are written on the bag are different than flavours that someone might taste.

How can I be sure that I will like coffee that I ordered on-line?

All Arabica coffee is mild, not bitter. If you drink it with milk you will taste smooth and creamy beverage. If, on the other side, you drink espresso/moka/filter, we suggest you start with coffee that has chocolate and caramel notes and gradually you try coffee coming from Eastern African countries.

Do you grind coffee for home use?

We do grind coffee for you. You should let us know what type of coffee machine you use and we'll grind it accordingly.

Is Arabica coffee that I drink at your place strong?

Arabica beans tend to have a sweeter, softer taste, with tones of sugar, fruit, and berries. And it has less caffeine. Robusta, however, has a stronger, harsher taste, with a grain-like overtone and peanutty aftertaste and more caffeine.
When you drink „commercial coffee“ you drink mostly mix of arabica and robusta and that coffee is much stronger than coffee in our coffee shop.

Is your coffee already ground in the packages and how fresh is it?

All our coffees are in beans (and we grind them according to your need after you order it). We try to keep the coffee as fresh as possible. Upon delivery, the coffee is up to a month freshly raosted.
